Happy holidays to everyone who supported CCA this year, whether by voting for Bonnie Van Slyke for the vacant Town Council seat, securing a win, donating, or just reading these posts. It creates a community that not only values our town’s resources and character but also helps maintain it.

With all the news nationally, whatever your politics, it is easy to be overwhelmed and tune out locally. However, next year is another Town Council and Planning Commission election year, and we need people to step up and promote our values and aspirations. It is your contribution to keeping Charlestown on the right path.

Make a New Year’s resolution to be more engaged, attend or watch town meetings, speak up when things violate your values, and join a community of residents who feel it is worthwhile protecting what we have and working to build a future we will be happy with and which we can feel we helped shape.
