Gordon S. Willcox – Planning Commission

Gordon is a retired pharmaceutical executive with strong strategic planning, financial and communication skills.  He worked at 3 major pharmaceutical companies following 14 years of experience as a hospital pharmacist in Rhode Island and then several other national health care organizations.  
 
While living in Charlestown for 14 years, he takes advantage of Charlestown’s wonderful natural resources and enjoys Blue Shutters Beach and the vast hiking trails in our preserved open spaces.  His main interests in joining the Charlestown Planning Commission are to prioritize the conservation and preservation of our open spaces and natural resources while maintaining fiscal conservatism for an enduring and stable financial position of our town.
 
Senior executive with significant leadership experience at major global pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturers in market access in the areas of pricing and contracting, account management, patient support services, channel marketing and health economics.  Recognized for exceeding product sales and profit goals for the full product portfolio at national and regional market access customers.  Proven track record in developing and leading high performing teams, with particular expertise during reorganizations or integrations following mergers.  Broad experience in a number of health care business provider sectors resulting in high level strategic thinking, expert negotiation and consistent delivery of business results.  Served on Boards of Directors for private companies and not-for-profit professional associations.
