When you support the Charlestown Citizens Alliance (CCA), you support a nonpartisan alliance of citizens who share a dedication to civil and open government and a passion for preserving and protecting those assets that make Charlestown such a unique and treasured place to live.
CCA’s mission is to identify and address significant public policy issues affecting the quality of life in Charlestown. CCA is proudly supported by the residents of Charlestown and those who love our town.
In elections years, CCA is committed to an election outcome that produces public officials who will work in the interest of the majority of Charlestown’s citizens. CCA endorses local candidates who believe in a responsive, open government that is fiscally responsible; preservation of the natural environment and our community character; responsible development; quality education; and building community as essential to sustaining the vitality of our town. The candidates it endorses are Democrats, Republicans, Moderates, and Independents.
Of course, good government requires an INFORMED electorate, and CCA raises money for publications and advertising to educate the public about issues of importance, such as the upcoming election, and for other expenses. CCA is an all-volunteer organization and has very low overhead. Our officers and steering committee do not receive any form of compensation, and we have no employees. CCA’s web site was constructed and is maintained by volunteers, and our email list costs little to run.
CCA does not have dues-paying members and depends on donations. If you would like to make a contribution to CCA, you have the choice of an online donation via PayPal using a credit card or PayPal, or you can send us a check using postal mail.

Because Rhode Island law requires that we adhere to certain rules regarding contributions, please include the following information with your check:
- Your name
- Your home address
- Name and address of your employer if you are employed
For convenience, a contribution form is available at the CCA web site. Note, you may make contributions of up to $2,000 per calendar year to CCA. Note also that CCA can not accept anonymous donations.
