Narragansett August Meeting / Pow Wow August 8 & 9

Where: Indian Church Rd. (off Rt. 2), Charlestown
Cost: Admission is $10 for adults, $3 for children, and $7 for seniors
When: Saturday, August 8, and Sunday, August 9, 2025

Gates open at 10 a.m. both days

The Narragansett Indian Tribe is once again inviting the public to share in the oldest recorded pow wow in North America. This will be the 351 Annual Thanksgiving of Green Corn, also known as the Narragansett Tribe’s August Meeting.

All of Rhode Island is invited to join the tribe and share traditional food, singing, and dancing. Native jewelry, music, artwork, books, and more will be available.

No dogs, drugs, or alcohol allowed. You may bring your own lawn chairs for sitting.

Directions: Turn from Route 2 onto Old Mill Road, then look for the local access sign for Indian Church Road near the Narragansett Indian Health Center area.
