Thank You To Everyone Who Voted – Local Election Results
Six out of eleven of the local candidates that CCA endorsed and supported in the November 8 election were elected. This is good news and we are grateful to the voters. However only one of five of our Town Council candidates was elected. As a result, we will have to watch Charlestown’s government to see if it continues to focus on our environment and economy.
Thank you to everyone who ran in this year’s election!
David Wilkinson, Peter Gardner, Ann Owen, and Josh Vallee who ran for Town Council, and Walter “Peter” Mahony who ran for Planning Commission, were not elected, but we hope they will continue to serve the town and will continue to be involved in Charlestown’s government. Charlestown would be very lucky to benefit from their continued involvement.

Thank you Ruth for all your hard work on the website, getting flyers made, and campaigning since early voting. Along with all the others that tried to get the message out we did what we could. Although the council results were disappointing, we will continue to do our best to keep Charlestown the gem it is. Keep your eyes on town council and what is proposed, attend and make your opinions heard. I hope more people will actively support CCA as we navigate a likely rocky next few years. Thank you to all who voted for CCA candidates.
