International Dark Sky Week is a global celebration of the night and Charlestown is known for some of the darkest night skies remaining on the U.S. Eastern Seaboard.
In celebration, the Frosty Drew Observatory and Science Center will open every night, weather permitting, for the entire week. Their schedule will include stargazing with their large 24 inch telescope as well as their smaller telescopes. They will have presentations in the Sky Theater on the effects of light pollution and how we can all do our part to solve the problem.
