Spring On Two Wheels – May Is Bike Month

When: Saturday, May 3 at 9 am sharp – NO RAIN DATE
Where: Meet at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck School House Rd. (Please park on the far left of lot along the edge)
What: 10 mile bike ride on a route that passes by Charlestown Beach, Green Hill Beach, Moonstone Beach and South Kingstown Beach.
Who: Charlestown’s Block Island Sound Bikeway Committee and South Kingstown’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee invite you to ride with them.

To celebrate the arrival of spring, the Charlestown’s Block Island Sound Bikeway Committee and South Kingstown’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee invite interested cyclists to join them for a ride along our coast.

Two wheels is so much more fun than four. There is nothing that beats the feeling of experiencing the air, bird song, fragrances and beauty of our coast in the spring.

The specific of the complete route will be provided at the ride start.

The ride will start and finish at the above meeting place and will cover 
approximately ten miles. The route is primarily on state designated roads suitable for cyclists. Cyclists must be at least thirteen years of age and all wear a helmet and ride single file. A rear view mirror is advisable.

Charlestown’s Block Island Sound Bikeway Committee is working to improve biking and walking safety. A long-term goal is a safe route from the village center to Ninigret Park.
