Thank You For Your Signatures
Thank you to everyone who gave up part of a summer day to visit us at the Charlestown Mini Super on July 6th or 8th and signed 10 different nomination papers for the candidates the Charlestown Citizens Alliance is supporting in the November election.
Thank you especially to the Mini Super for generously allowing us to set up our nomination papers in front of the store!
We collected over 1,110 total signatures for the 10 candidates! We surpassed the requirement of a total of 500 (10X50) signatures for all our candidates to qualify for the November election ballot. Some signatures will get disqualified (usually for legibility), but each of our candidates got over 100 valid signatures in our 4 hours of gathering signatures.
Also thank you to everyone who called or wrote to say they wanted to sign, but couldn’t make it to the Mini Super. The candidates appreciate every offer to sign and would have been honored to have your names on their papers, but we got more than we needed and bringing more papers to town hall would just make extra and unneeded work for the members of the Board of Canvassers. Your offers mean just as much as an actual signature!
Your time this past week was well spent. This is an accomplished and qualified slate of candidates and we are honored to endorse them.
Town Council: Sarah Fletcher, Angela Jalbert, Peter Keating, Ruth Platner, and Bonnie Van Slyke
Planning Commission: Carol Mossa, Lisa Marie St. Godard, Sarah St. Laurent, and Coleen Galvin Yaroshenko
Town Moderator: David Wilkinson

I was more than happy to sign everyone’s nomination endorsement forms and I am thrilled that CCA has a full slate of qualified candidates willing to work hard to maintain and preserve our beautiful Charlestown. My thanks to all!

Thank you to all those who were there to sign, and to those , who wanted to, but could not make it , there will be other opportunities to help our cause.

I’m happy to read this. I wanted to sign those nomination forms for these candidates but had a doctor appt at that very time. So happy you got what you need. Now, we need media attention.
