Vote April 17 To May 7 For School Bond
Wednesday, April 17 is the first day of Early Voting at Town Hall
Early in-person voting will take place at Town Hall, anytime between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from April 17 to May 6.
Tuesday, May 7 is the all day Referendum
Voting will take place at Charlestown Town Hall, anytime between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
With or without the Bond, the Chariho operating budget will be the same.
Rejecting the bond will not save money.
- $150 Million Bond with a 30-year term (on principal with a 76% reimbursement)
- State Obligation $112 Million
- Local Obligation $37 Million
- With the Bond, the estimated yearly obligation in the Chariho operating budget would be approximately $2.3 Million
- Without the Bond, the estimated yearly obligation in the Chariho operating budget would be approximately $2.3 Million

Mia leading information. It will not change operating cost but will add another cost( bond) that, if normal patterns are followed, expect costs to double. Besides state and federal funds are TAXPAYERS money.
