2024 Earth Day Celebration

When: Saturday, April 20 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Ninigret Park
What: Free activities for the whole family. Vendors and organizations offering earth friendly information and education.

Frosty Drew Observatory and Science Center will have solar telescopes set up offering views of the Sun in different wavelengths. Depending on the weather, they will also open the Science Center and Observatory for tours and perhaps offer views of Venus in the big telescope.

  • The Tomaquag Museum
  • Mystic Aquarium
  • Plant Swap sponsored by the Johnny Cake Center (bring a plant to trade)
  • Charlestown Library
  • Charlestown Conservation Commission
  • Charlestown Wastewater Commission

There will be a bouncy house, face painting, curious creatures – reptiles to be enjoyed, Gilbert the Party Pig, and more!!
