Town Council To Appoint Replacement For Town Moderator Charlie Beck

With the sad and sudden passing of Town Moderator Charlie Beck on March 19, the Town Council will now appoint a replacement until the election of a new Moderator in November. This is on the agenda for the March 25 Town Council meeting.

Charlie was elected to the Moderator position in 2018, 2020, and 2022. CCA endorsed him for Moderator in 2022. He most recently moderated the March 5 public hearing on the Chariho Regional School District’s 2024-2025 budget where he did a good job keeping the speakers from all three towns on topic—not always an easy task.
