On New Years Eve, the Town of Charlestown will host the annual bonfire in the park. When the embers of the bonfire burn down, the night sky will light up (assuming the night is clear). Frosty Drew Observatory will open for a quick window of stargazing to help ring in the New Year with views of the beautiful night sky over Ninigret Park. On the list will be Uranus, Albireo, the Orion Nebula, and possibly a comet.
