2022 Primary Election Results in Charlestown
2022 Primary Election Results Statewide
There was only one local contest on the Primary ballot, and that was the local Democratic Party primary contest for Senate District 38, (formerly Dennis Algiere’s seat). That senate district includes Charlestown districts 503 and 504. There were three Democratic Party candidates in that primary.
Victoria Gu won that primary by a wide margin in Charlestown and district wide. Victoria is a Charlestown resident and is chair of the Charlestown Climate Resiliency Commission. She will face Republican Westin Place and Independent Caswell Cooke in the November election. Mr. Place and Mr. Cooke are Westerly residents.

Good to see Victoria in the running for State Senate representative from District 38. It’s about time an intelligent woman gets a chance to represent this district.

We are celebrating Victoria’s win. We would do well to have her represent our district in the State Senate!!!!
