Four Photo Contests To Capture Local Beauty And Wildlife

If physical distancing had encouraged you to set out alone with your camera, you may have captured some stunning photographs of our beautiful landscapes and wildlife. Here are four ongoing photo contests where you can win either prizes or recognition for your beautiful photographs.

Friends of the National Wildlife Refuges of RI Photo Competition – deadline to enter is September 8 – limited to photos taken in the RI National Wildlife Refuges.

Submit Outstanding Bird Photos For Audubon’s 2023 Calendar – deadline to enter is September 12 – New this year: Rhode Island Audubon is including images of not just birds, but also wildlife in the 2023 calendar competition.

South County Tourism Council 2022 Photo Contest – deadline to enter is October 1 – photos of South County. They are advertising the contest, but have not yet set up a link at their website or contest rules.

Nature Conservancy 2022 Photo Contest – deadline is August 31 – photos of  wildlife, natural landscapes and other nature photos.
