Thousands Converge on Frosty Drew for Eclipse
The eclipse in Rhode Island may have only been 67%, but the crowds at Frosty Drew Observatory in Ninigret Park on August 21 were full! Estimates on attendance range from 1500 to 4000.
In Rhode Island, Frosty Drew was the place to be to experience the Great American Eclipse. Crowds starting arriving at 8 a.m. and eclipse viewing glasses were sold out early. But as promised, there were glasses to share and many other cool ways to view and experience the eclipse.
If you missed the event, check out Frosty Drew’s Facebook page for images of the eclipse and other beautiful photos of our local night sky.
