Salt Ponds Coalition 30th Anniversary Celebration Video

The Salt Ponds Coalition is dedicated to the preservation and restoration of Southern Rhode Islands Salt Ponds. This short film was produced by Vic Dvorak, a former executive director of the coalition.

The Salt Ponds make up Charlestown’s southern border. The ponds and the wildlife they support are beautiful, but they need to be protected and conserved. The Coalition was founded in 1984 by Charlestown Town Council member Virginia Lee and others, and many more have contributed over the year’s to protect these fragile coastal lagoons.
