What: Orientation, Social, and BioBlitz 2023
When: Orientation and Social—May 11; BioBlitz 2023—the 24-hour event begins on Friday, June 9, at 2 pm and runs to Saturday, June 10, at 2 pm
Where: Orientation at the Kettle Pond Visitors Center, Bend Road, Charlestown; BioBlitz on Narragansett Tribal Land

This year's BioBlitz on Narragansett Tribal land in Charlestown is a rare opportunity to view and catalog the biota of tribal lands as these lands are usually closed to the public.

"Dark Sacred Night" is a special project of the Princeton University Office of Sustainability. The film is only 15 minutes long. Please watch it and reflect on how lucky we are to live in Charlestown where we can still see the Milky Way.

Why: This is an opportunity for the Charlestown community to bring their questions and concerns about state government and legislation to their State Representative.

Tarzan Brown sold his two Boston Marathon first-place trophies to help feed his family. Mr. Brown's descendents are hoping that somehow, somewhere, someone might have those trophies and recognize them. Heartbreak Hill is named for the story of one of his winning runs.

Why: Public Hearing on the Tentative 2023-2024 Municipal Budget of $15,825,425.00
The municipal budget represents an increase in spending of $764,492.00, which is a 5% increase over the previous year.
