Frosty Drew Observatory is open Every Friday night (weather permitting) when they open the Observatory, Science Center, Sky Theatre, and telescopes to the sky and offer free stargazing and astronomy to anybody interested in observing with them.
They open their dome and telescopes to the public at around 7:00 p.m.
“See the stars, distant galaxies, shining nebulae, the planets and their moons, and maybe a passing comet through our big telescope every clear Friday night. We open as soon after dusk as possible allowing for the season. We usually remain open till everybody leaves or the astronomers have geeked out enough to call it a night.“
Tickets are required for visitors to attend this event. Tickets are free, though a suggested donation of $5 per person, at the event, is very appreciated. Once tickets become available, they can be acquired at the event page. Tickets will become available four days before the day of the event. The event is weather dependent and tickets are non-refundable.
Check the Frosty Drew website on the day of the event before 3:00 pm. The update for the event will describe their plans for the night and what to expect regarding weather and astronomical sights.
