Sarah R. Fletcher – Town Council
Sarah is the founder and owner of two small businesses. She is President and Creative Director of Catalog Design Services, a company that she founded in 2000 and that produces advertising testing programs, repositions clients’ marketing programs, and designs catalogs for Fortune 500 companies, such as International Paper and Proctor and Gamble, as well as smaller, family-owned companies, such as Harrington’s of Vermont and the Vermont Country Store. Sarah is also one of the founders of Stylaquin, a company that manages the company’s online shopping business that is based on a shopping application she invented and patented on the Shopify platform.
For L.L. Bean, she was responsible for the design, photographic direction, and graphic implementation of strategy for the company’s corporate sales and traveler sales areas, and as a result, in 1999, Bean’s corporate sales increased 35% and its traveler sales increased 17%. She has worked as an Art Director, Photographer, and Designer of catalogs for multiple clients, and the businesses consistently achieved between 5% and 50% above expected demand. For her family’s business, Sarah was responsible for all aspects of graphic arts and strategic development for such clients as RI Housing, RI Secretary of State, Providence Diamond Company, MTI (Mentors and Tutors at URI), Girl Scouts of RI, and Creamer Dickson Basford.
Sarah’s experience in marketing, clear vision, boundless energy, and can-do attitude will serve Charlestown well.
