From the beginning of the 2006-2008 Town Council term there was an ongoing effort by Councilor Mageau and Town Administrator Ed Barrett to stop the filming of Town meetings.

They were successful in stopping Rhode Island PBS from filming for a short period and CCA filled in for that time. PBS has now resumed filming meetings, but CCA will still film some meetings when PBS does not film.
