Wildlife Sculpting Demonstration
January 10, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join us for a live relief sculpting demo. Christy Sherman will demonstrate sculpting a piping plover in polymer clay. Along the way, she’ll talk about polymer clay techniques, how versatile it is, as well as the importance of observation and knowledge of birds and animals when making art. Christy Sherman is a wildlife artist who works primarily in relief sculpture. Relief sculpture looks like a dimensional painting, or a three dimensional sculpture that’s been almost flattened out. The easiest examples to see are the faces on coins.
