Ready for a fabulous evening in Charlestown? The fourth annual “Locally Grown and Served—A 100 Mile Radius Dinner” will be held at the Charlestown Community Center.
The gourmet meal will be prepared by the students of the Greene School, a tuition-free school that opened in 2010 with an emphasis on environmental studies. The exercise teaches students about local agriculture, the benefits of responsible land use, math skills, and more.
Ingredients, except for the salt and pepper, come from within 100 miles of the Greene School in West Greenwich, that is, within the confines of eastern Connecticut, north to the area around Worcester, Massachusetts, and to the tip of Long Island for whole-wheat grain.
