Summer evenings are the perfect time to enjoy the grassland habitat of Avondale Farm Preserve and observe birds and butterflies that are attracted to its acres of wildflower blossoms. The preserve has become known as a local birding hotspot with some unique species such as bobolink (grassland bird) and sleepy orange butterfly. This event is a leisurely walk that is fun for the whole family.
Directions: From Watch Hill Road, turn onto Quail Run and go about 1/10 mile to the end of the road.
Parking Info: Free parking in a lot with 20 spaces; no overnight parking permitted.
