Twin Peaks Preservation Stroll

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

On Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 10:00 am, the 2nd annual 5K Walk/Stroll supporting Breast Cancer Research will step off at the Charlestown Rathskeller.

Registration begins at 9:30 am and light refreshments will be served after the cancer walk.

Tom Ready will sing an original song that he composed about breast cancer survivors. Blake Filippi, State Representative for Charlestown, and Tom Gentz, President of the Charlestown Town Council will speak.

Caution, Deer Hunting Season has begun

Caution, Deer Hunting Season has begun

Be Safe! Be sure to wear at least 200 square inches of florescent orange (usually a hat and or a vest) when hiking on state, federal, or other public and private open space.

Archery for all deer and Muzzloader for antlerless deer is open now. Shotgun season does not start until December 5. Some hunting for game birds began on September 12 and will continue into January and other small game begins in October. Read the full post for a link to file with exact dates.
