Three Rehabilitated Harbor Seals to be Released

What: Watch three harbor seals named Aster, Azalea and Ivy return to the wild

Mystic Aquarium Animal Rescue will release these rehabilitated seals after rescuing them and bringing them back to health.

Each pup was believed to have been abandoned shortly after birth. Following months of rehabilitation and care, the three seals, now approximately 4 – 5 months old, are healthy and prepared for life at sea.

Aster was rescued in North Kingstown, RI. He was transferred to Mystic Aquarium for rehabilitation on May 4.

Azalea was rescued in Harpswell, ME by the Marine Mammals of Maine. She was transferred to Mystic Aquarium for rehabilitation on June 22.

Ivy was rescued in East Boothbay Harbor, ME by the Marine Mammals of Maine. He was transferred to Mystic Aquarium for rehabilitation on July 20.
