Fourth Annual Twin Peaks Preservation Stroll

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.

On Sunday, October 1, 2017,  the 4th annual 5K Walk/Stroll supporting Breast Cancer Research will step off at the Charlestown Rathskeller, Old Coach Road, Charlestown.

The walk will happen rain or shine!

Registration begins at 8:30 am, the walk steps off at 10:00 am, and light refreshments will be served after the cancer walk.

Pat Ready, a breast cancer survivor of 23 years and Nancy Ringler, a breast cancer survivor of four years joined forces in 2014 to create the Twin Peaks Preservation Stroll to bring cancer awareness to Southern Rhode Island. All proceeds will go to the American Cancer Society to fight all cancers. These two brave survivors are to be commended for increasing cancer awareness, the need for early detection and finding a cure for this horrific disease that affects so many.

There is no cost to register for the walk.

  • Tee shirts are $15.
  • A donation of $50 or more puts your name on the sponsor board the day of the walk.
  • For a donation of any amount, you can write something to someone who you loved that died from cancer on the memorial board.
