(Almost) Full Moon Walk
Where: Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge
When: Sunday, September 3, 7:30 pm
What: Dr. Robert Kenney, Naturalist Extraordinaire and Marine Biologist, will take you on an evening exploration of the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge under the light of an almost-full moon.
Sometimes the busiest time of day in the late summer woods and fields is in the evening, when the birds, mammals, and insects get active as the temperature cools off. The walking party will wander around for a while and see what you can discover, then do some moon-watching.
Expect mosquitoes (long pants and insect repellent are advisable), and a flashlight might be helpful.
Cancelled if raining, call 364.9124, extension 4413 for update.
