Earth Day Trail Project at Carter Preserve
When: Saturday, April 22, 10:00 am – 2:30 pm
Where: Francis Carter Preserve
What: Help The Nature Conservancy create a new trail at the Carter Preserve, connecting the new kayak launch area to the existing trail system.
Volunteers will be using clippers and hand saws to remove smaller vegetation and clear a path through the understory of beautiful oak woodlands and stands of pitch pine.
Please RSVP (below) to receive information on meeting location and directions. Please dress to work in the woods, layer your clothing and wear sturdy shoes. Water and granola bars will be provided. Plan to stop and take a lunch break, so bring a lunch if desired.
The Nature Conservancy will provide all tools and work gloves. Bring your own personal work gloves if desired.
