Art Opening – Sunday January 8th, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM – Kettle Pond Visitor Center

Nest and eggs colorJoin USFWS for an art opening to showcase the nature inspired artwork of Frances Topping. Frances, a Natural Science Illustrator, fine artist, educator and naturalist, combines her knowledge of science with her artistic talent to produce beautiful portraits of wildlife and natural landscapes. Frances is also a member of the Charlestown Planning Commission!

The Kettle Pond Visitor Center, at 50 Bend Rd, Charlestown, is open daily (Monday-Sunday) 10-4 pm and Frances’ artwork will be on display for the entire month of January. Admission is free. There are some excellent diorama exhibits in the main hall. Frances’ display is in the hall to the right as you enter.

Additionally Frances has botanical works at the Cooked Goose in Westerly until Feb 28th.

Kettle Pond Visitor Center is directly off Rte 1 . If you are coming from the west then you have to pass it and take the next turnaround. It is on the north side of the road  but not visible from the road.
