CCA Promoted Ballot Questions
Below are the vote totals and percentages for the three ballot questions that CCA actively promoted for a “Yes” vote.
|6. Green Economy Bond (State Question to fund Open Space, Farmland Preservation, Bike Paths)||Approve||2599||64.0%|
|8. Charlestown Town Charter Change to move financial petitions to General Elections||Approve||2872||70.5%|
|9. RYSE School Building||Approve||2676||65.3%|
Other Ballot Questions of Interest
Below are the vote totals and percentages for two ballot questions where Charlestown votes were significantly different than the state as a whole.
|1. Casino in Tiverton||Approve||1742||41.8%||54.9%|
|7. Affordable Housing Bonds||Approve||2054||51.3%||58.0%|
Charlestown has a long history of local casino proposals that is perhaps reflected in the sound rejection of the casino question. And on the question of public funding of affordable housing the town appears to be about equally divided.
