Letter: Steve Williams for Charlestown Town Council

The following letter appeared in local newspapers and is shared with us here by the author Joan Lawlor.

As you go to the polls on Nov. 8 to decide your choices for Charlestown Town Council, I would encourage you to take note of the impressive credentials of the slate of independent candidates willing to make the personal sacrifices of local public office.

I have known one of those candidates, Steve Williams, for almost 20 years. Steve’s considerable experience in the military and the business arena, as well as his educational background, are unparalleled. Equally important, however, is Steve’s practical, common-sense approach to tackling the issues that face a small town like Charlestown.

Steve’s roots in Charlestown go back over 60 years and he has a strong commitment to preserving Charlestown’s unique character and charms. Steve is equally determined to ensure that costs are contained so that the quality of life for Charlestown’s residents is not diminished.

Entrust your vote to Steve Williams, he’ll work hard for you and will always represent the best interests of Charlestown and its residents.
