Time To Get Outside And Enjoy The Gift Of Spring!

We received the following message from the Charlestown Land Trust

You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make. – Jane Goodall

Dear Friend,

unnamedAs we move through spring, we cannot help but reflect on the past, consider present possibilities and dream about what ifs. After attending the Land and Water Conservation Summit, we discovered an inspiring approach to building supportive communities through a process called “appreciative inquiry“. We see it as a practice for approaching change from a holistic framework, looking at ones strengths, appreciating our differences, listening, and connecting the positives for sustainable growth. Putting this to practice means being a good listener, questioning and meeting people half way.

Our mission is conservation yet it means something very different to everyone. Whatever those degrees of difference are we all care about the health of the community, our relationships and connections. There is a strong correlation between a healthy community and a healthy environment.

So, our focus this spring will be what can the Charlestown Land Trust do better? How can we help make a better Charlestown? Look us up on the web @ charlestownlandtrust.org, get in touch with one of us for a discussion, join us at the Farmers Market, come to or host an event and please support our mission to preserve and protect our resources here at home.
