Cinder Worm Workshop

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in partnership with Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management is organizing a Cinder Worm Workshop. There will be two weekday evening classes in fly tying instruction on cinder worm patterns and one weekend evening of fly fishing. The first two sessions— Tuesday, April 28th and Monday May 4th from 6:30PM – 8:30PM—are devoted to tying cinder worm emergence patterns. One Saturday afternoon/evening— May 9th from 4:00PM to dark—is devoted to fishing them on Ninigret Pond. Many of you have already participated as students and/or instructors. We provide all necessary fly tying tools, materials, and fly rod outfits as needed. The program is open to any adult or child over the age of 10, regardless of skill level, with a maximum of 40 students. Pre-registration is required.
