Upcoming Art Exhibits of Charlestown Artist Frances Topping

Frances Topping, a Natural Science Illustrator, combines her knowledge of science with her artistic talent to produce beautiful portraits of wildlife and natural landscapes. Frances is a long time Charlestown resident and past member of the Charlestown Conservation Commission.

Locally you can see Frances’ work at Finishing Touches, 311A Main Street, Wakefield, RI  (opposite Robinson Street finishingtouchesri.com). She will have several paintings on display from May 1st to 31st at Finishing Touches. There is an Artist’s reception on  Saturday, May 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Finishing Touches.

In addition there is a reception Sunday, May 18th, from 1-3 p.m. at the Audubon Environmental Education Center, 1401 Hope Street, Bristol, RI. for “From the mountains to the Sea: Native trees, shrubs and plants of New England” in which she has two botanical pieces. The show runs May 16th to June 30th. This is a juried traveling show of the New England Society of Botanical Artists that is visiting each New England state. Later, August 22nd to September 14th, Frances will be exhibiting along with eight other artists at Wickford Art Association.
