Next Whalerock Hearing
Wednesday, July 17 – 6:30 PM
Charlestown Elementary School
The Whalerock hearing that had been scheduled for June 26 was continued that night to July 17 without hearing any testimony. The Zoning Board’s legal counsel, Robert Craven, was unavailable on June 26 and the Zoning Board voted unanimously to postpone the hearing until July 17. At the July 17 hearing, the Town will present their own expert witnesses. We have information about the proposal at our website at Quick Links For Whalerock
Residents can send their thoughts and testimony to the Zoning Board by email at firstname.lastname@example.org

The Chariho Budget was turned down again in the June referendum. Voters in Charlestown approved the budget, but it was turned down 1,358 to 376 by a negative vote in Richmond and Hopkinton. No more referenda will be held this year and the towns will contribute the same amount of money to the district as they did last year.
